First Floor description
The first floor contains a large entrance hall, a living room to the left, the dining room to the right and through the hallway to a bathroom, next to the large country kitchen and a den. Both the kitchen and den have French doors to the outside. The den connects also to the garage
Entrance Hall
This is a typical NE Colonial entrance hall with a majestic turning stairway to the second floor, and connecting to the living room and dining room
Living Room
This is the largest room in the house and is furnished with leather sofa and loveseat and additional easy-chair, over a large oriental rug. The fireplace mantel is Nantucket Shaker style, on a classical granite stone elevated platform. The fireplace is gas-operated and controlled from a switch on the wall. The room features new French doors for ventilation and a card-table with four chairs for card-playing, putting together one of the many jig-saw puzzles found in the house or for just having a glass of wine. There is a victorian bookcase with plenty of novels and interesting reading books to keep you entertained. Dining Room
On the other side of the entrance hall is the dining room with a 15ft oak sideboard , glass-fronted armoire and carved in-laid table for ten on a gorgeous oriental rug. The table has large pull-outs on either side. There are eight rush-covered chairs. The handsomely carved furniture was imported from Belgium. A large antique chandelier over the table and french doors to the side yard (ventilation only) and louvered doors to the kitchen complete the picture.
Kitchen
The large eat-in country kitchen is fully equipped with gas-range, microwave, dishwasher, through-wall venting hood, ceiling fan etc. The casual dining area has a 4-chair table surmounted with a nostalgic European gaslight brass and majolica chandelier. The French doors open up to the sunny backyard.
Den
Off to the side of the kitchen but open to the kitchen is a comfortable den with cable TV, VCR, large bookcase with hundreds of books; large picture bow window on one side and French doors to the brick patio on the other side. Furnished also with two twin beds and an early American antique dresser, it is the smallest of four bedrooms. Closet.

There is an old pine Flemish Kast ( armoire) which contains linens and things; towels etc for the forgetful.
