Soaring high above the rest of Chatham, the Eagle home is located at the highest point of the great hills of Chatham above Lovers Lake. What looks like a quaint one floor cape style home from the front is actually a lovely four bedroom two story modern home built on a hillside with distant panoramic views of Pleasant Bay and the National Seashore beyond.
The sunroom, living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom and full bath are all located on the entrance floor. Stairs lead down past an antique ships wheel to a spacious level that includes two bedrooms with two twins in each, bathroom and a large family room/entertainment area. The large deck spans the entire lower level of the house allowing very private lounging. Dramatic sunrises are seen every morning from the floor to ceiling windows in the living room, dining room and master bedroom.
Sun Room
The sunroom is located on the main floor and provides a quiet getaway for a nice breakfast and a read of the paper. Large windows fill the room with sunlight and Welsh terracotta tiles give the room a soothing and relaxing feeling. It is pleasantly furnished with two love seats and a lounging chair, and has a bistro table in granite and two leather captains chairs for an informal tete-a-tete and a glass of wine or tea.
Dining Room
A beautifully detailed New England style dining room overlooks acres of conservation land and Pleasant Bay in the distance. There is seating for 8 adults around the large oval table, with plenty of dishes and glasses to enjoy a sumptuous dinner. The Far East motif is reflected in a marble-topped Japanese sideboard resting under a lacquered antique Chinese room-divider. These seemingly opposite styles of East meets West are pleasantly merged in the décor of the dining room.
Kitchen
Clean lines and bold colors of the European styled kitchen create an environment of experimentation for your vacation culinary experience. In floor radiant heat keeps your feet warm on the rare cool morning. A new electric stove and microwave are being installed this spring.
Everything that you need for your gastronomic creations is provided.
Living Room
The large living room has beautiful 20 foot high cathedral ceilings and a wall of floor to ceiling windows. The magnificent view over the valley below and the ocean in the distance has to be seen to be believed.
Relax in the comfort of leather sofa and loveseat in front of a large fireplace. A wall of built in bookshelves surround the fireplace, stocked with enough interesting novels to keep any bookworm busy.
Enjoy your favorite tunes wafted down from Bose speakers, with the Pioneer music entertainment system. Bring tapes or CDs or enjoy the collection provided. Chess, checkers and other fun family games are located in the lower shelves for enjoyment.
Master bedroom and full bath
A king sized wrought-iron bed greets you after a long day of summer fun on the beach. Large closets, his and hers dressers make the room a pleasant retreat. The sun pleasantly wakes you every morning through the large windows overlooking the valley and Pleasant Bay.

Lower level bedrooms and full bath
Three large bedrooms are located on the lower level. Two bedrooms have two twin beds, closets, dressers and sliding glass doors leading to a large deck.
The third downstairs bedroom is more secluded with treetop views through large windows.
Family room
Comfortably furnished with wicker sofa and large wicker day bed for entertaining or viewing the large cable TV and VCR.
Wall-to-wall carpeting with large sliders to the 50 ft deck.
There is a game table with four upholstered chairs, with plenty of games, sets of cards, puzzles, and hundreds of books to pass the time.
The Deck
The deck spans the entire rear of the house allowing for lots of room to spread out and relax. Plenty of seating allows for fun times on the deck soaking up the sun. Below the deck, in the grass, is a picnic table with two benches and a gas BBQ grill.
