The fireplace mantel is Nantucket Shaker style, on a classical granite stone elevated platform. The fireplace is gas-operated and controlled from a switch on the wall. The room features new French doors for ventilation and a card-table with four chairs for card-playing, putting together one of the many jig-saw puzzles found in the house or for just having a glass of wine. There is a victorian bookcase with plenty of novels and interesting reading books to keep you entertained. A John Winthrop writing desk in front of a picture window to the backyard while listening to WFCC107.5 on the Bose waveguide radio..
